Beautiful homes
Kahani Home began with a question its clients had already answered for themselves: what does it mean to live surrounded by things you love? The apartment, originally a four-bedroom flat in Bangalore's SNN Clermont, was reconfigured into a three-bedroom home, more spacious, more considered, less divided. The clients are art collectors. Their collection, largely Indian in origin, needed a home that could hold it without competing with it. The spaces responded by using earthy materials as backdrop: handmade brick vaulting in the corridor, dark stone flooring, warm timber joinery. The art is not framed against white walls, it is integrated into the spatial sequence, encountered as you move through the house. A Gond mural in the living room. Antique columns repurposed as structural and decorative elements. Textiles chosen for weight and texture, not pattern alone.
